I got the tee today actually. here is what i’d say…

it looks like a heat transfer process. i had seen these before on sites like pixeltees.com, but there was this annoying “outline” around the image that seemed like someone literally cut it out of a larger transfer area (which i think they did). the redbubble process is better and there is no sign of a hand “cut out” look.

however flat color areas (or graphic areas) suffer the most. especially those that are made of uneven parts of cyan, magenta and yellow. so if you have an area of red made of 100% magenta and 100% yellow, that will print clean. but if you have more of a brick red which includes some cyan that color will print muddy.

photographic type images work best on these tees – or images that have enough natural noise or naturally uneven gradients and color textures are better matched the the printing process.

simplest explanation would be that these tees look great from 4 feet or more away. but up close the details are really not sharp and some of the more non-primary color combinations are muddy at best.

i would order tees from here for simple gag tees, for party giveaways and other one-offs like that. but i would not consider these a great way to get your best artwork on a tee. that would still require printing with a real silkscreen process printer or doing it yourself and busting out the squeegee.

They told me it was processed days ago… but still no sign of it. So, I’d say shipping is slow and perhaps the Christmas season is out of the question for new orders at this date.
